Play by Ear
is a musical theatre created by Kaja & Janusz Prusinowski and Piotr Piszczatowski. We play with children and animate them to play by themselves, this way practicing singing, playing music, dancing and contacting. Our performances we create of traditional children games, songs and melodies from historical Poland, searching for contemporary connotations, functions and new interpretations.We believe that musical sensitivity is a common gift, and can be discovered by singing, dancing, playing old games and preparing theatre performances. We focus on preserving the most precious elements of the multicultural Polish tradition and try to adapt it creatively to our times, so that it lives on. The theatre travels through Poland and Europe with concerts and interactive children plays. We willingly learn also children games from various parts of the world and compose our own. Play and fun knows no boundaries.
